- Spread a thin, even layer of butter on one side of each slice of Tami's home-made wheat bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on a heated skillet or frying pan.
- Lay the cheese slices on top of the bread in the skillet.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
- Cook over medium heat for 2-4 minutes, or until the bottom slice is golden brown and crispy - cover with aluminum foil to help the cheese melt.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side for an additional 2-4 minutes, until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, slice in half, and serve warm.
Tips:
- Serve with tomato soup of course!
