Sandy’s Caramels


Ingredients:

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 c. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • ½ tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Add all ingredients except the vanilla into a glass bowl. Place in the microwave and cook for 14–16 minutes, stirring every 3–4 minutes.

When finished cooking, add the vanilla and stir well. Pour into a buttered pan and allow to cool completely.

Tips:

If making caramel apples or caramel popcorn, cook slightly less so the caramel stays softer.
